Belarus's First Deputy Finance Minister said a cut in the customs duty on potash fertilizer exports will not materially affect the state budget. He expects lower duty revenue to be offset by higher profits and dividends from state-owned Belaruskali.
The statement was made after a 14 June session of the National Assembly's budget commission.
A lower export duty could make Belarusian potash more competitive in export markets, adding supply pressure on global potash prices.
