Evonik launched its Biolys and Ecobiol animal nutrition products for the Middle East and North Africa at the AGRENA exhibition in Cairo in July. Biolys is a lysine source with a minimum 54.6 percent L-lysine content.
Ecobiol is a Bacillus amyloliquefaciens feed additive.
This is a product launch by one specialty chemicals supplier with no clear supply shock. It has little measurable effect on feed ingredient prices, though it adds to competition in the amino acid additive market.
