The Central Reserve Bank of Peru cut its reference interest rate by a quarter point to 3.75% on Thursday. The bank said inflation had returned within its target range while the economy continues to grow below potential.
It was the second cut in three months, following a May reduction.
A lower Peruvian policy rate supports domestic credit and modestly weakens the sol, with little direct effect on feed grain or oilseed supply and demand. Any price impact on feed markets is minimal.
