Kansas State University hosted a workshop at its IGP Institute for Chinese grain buyers covering US sorghum crop conditions, purchasing and trade standards. The program was sponsored by the U.S. Grains Council and targeted companies that handle about half of China's sorghum imports.
The training supports continued Chinese demand for US sorghum by building buyer knowledge of US supply and contracts. Its effect on prices is indirect and small.
