DDGS prices in late July 2017 were driven more by supply and demand than by corn and soybean futures, with domestic prices rising a few dollars despite weaker CBOT corn. DDGS were priced at 95 percent of cash corn and 37 percent of KC soybean meal, and international interest from Indonesia and South Korea was picking up.
DDGS remain a strong-value feed alternative to soybean meal, supporting feed inclusion rates and export interest. Firm DDGS pricing relative to corn and meal supports demand for the co-product.
