Market Intello forecasts average Vietnamese interest rates will ease slightly in the second half of 2017 after State Bank rate cuts. It also expects the dong to depreciate slightly and inflation to stay low, near 2.3% at year-end.
Lower domestic rates and a slightly weaker dong could modestly raise the cost of imported feed for Vietnamese livestock producers, but the forecast is small and indirect.
