The Philippine government lifted its nationwide ban on transporting poultry and poultry products, except from the outbreak zones in San Luis and Nueva Ecija. Shipments from Luzon must now be validated by quarantine officers and certified as coming from accredited farms.
The ban was first imposed on August 11 after the country's first avian flu case.
Reopened interprovincial shipments let surplus Luzon poultry reach other islands, easing local glut pressure and supporting a gradual return to normal chicken flows.
