Peru is moving closer to setting the total allowable catch (TAC) for its second anchovy season. The quota will determine how much anchoveta can be landed for fishmeal and fish oil production.
The anchovy TAC sets the main supply of Peruvian fishmeal, the benchmark protein for feed buyers. A larger or smaller quota would shift fishmeal availability and prices, but the decision is not yet final.
