Békés County in Hungary harvested about 210.6 thousand tonnes of sunflower seed from 78 thousand ha, an average yield of 2.7 t/ha. Purchase prices fell to 88-90 thousand forints per tonne from 94-95 thousand two weeks earlier, with lower nutrient content than last year.
