Novus International announced it has selected a site at the INEOS Nitriles facility in Calhoun County, Texas, for a new liquid methionine (ALIMET) plant. Final approval is expected in the second half of 2018, with construction completing around 2020.
Added future methionine capacity in the US is bearish for methionine prices over time, though the plant will not affect supply until about 2020.
