A team of Chinese buyers of corn, sorghum and DDGS toured U.S. farms, ethanol plants, elevators and export terminals from Iowa to Kansas and New Orleans, organized by the U.S. Grains Council. The team also met U.S. trading companies and received training at Kansas State University.
The visit is a step toward potential Chinese purchases of U.S. feed grains and co-products, which could support corn, sorghum and DDGS export demand, though no volumes were announced.
After 729 past bullish trade events, Corn moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (56% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.8%), and +0.5% over 20.
