Herrenknecht has begun manufacturing shaft boring roadheaders for the Nezhinsky potash mine in Belarus. Assembly of integral parts is scheduled to start in March 2018, and the mine will have capacity up to 2 million tonnes of potassium chloride per year.
The project adds future potash capacity, but it will not affect supply until construction is complete, so it has little near-term price impact.
