Lean hog futures fell on December 19 as cash hog prices dropped, with slaughter-ready hogs at $56.05 per 100 pounds after large average weights let packers lower bids. Wholesale pork fell $1.71 to $75.86 per 100 pounds on Monday as retailer demand slowed after holiday stocking, and February lean hogs slipped 0.7%.
