A USDA FAS attaché report says South Korean feed millers have adopted DDGS widely, with 96% using it. Korean imports rose from 656,307 MT in MY 2014/15 to 894,982 MT in MY 2015/16, and the U.S. holds at least an 89% share.
The inclusion rate rose from 3.4% to 4%, and the USGC targets 7.5% inclusion and 1.5 million MT of imports by 2025.
Growing Korean demand for DDGS, driven by favorable price spreads against soymeal and corn gluten feed, supports U.S. DDGS export volumes. The trend is structurally bullish for DDGS over the coming years.
