DTN's average DDG spot price across 39 bid locations was $134 per ton for the week ended Dec. 21, up 1 cent.
Merchandisers said the market remains firm but has calmed somewhat ahead of the holidays. Barge traffic was also stalled at Thebes by rock removal work during daylight hours.
Firm DDG prices and a value of about 107% of corn support feed buyers' cost of protein, while river disruptions could tighten barge availability. The price effect is modest given the small weekly change.
