US sunflower trade data shows sunflower oil exports rose to 3,168 MT in October 2017 from 2,243 MT a year earlier, with Canada the top buyer. SunOpta is also consolidating its roasted snack production into Crookston, Minnesota.
The export gains are small in volume and have little effect on feed markets, so the price impact is minimal.
