Ukroliyaprom head S. Kapshuk outlined his view of Ukraine's oilseed market and processing development.
He noted India raised its import duty on unrefined sunflower oil to 25% from November 1, 2017, and that India took 43% of Ukraine's crude sunflower oil exports in September-October.
A higher Indian duty on crude oil pushes processing toward in-country crushing, which could cut Ukrainian sunflower oil export demand and weigh on sunflower meal and seed prices.
