PG Flow Solutions has launched PG Silage, a system that stores and treats whitefish silage in vessel hulls to produce fish protein concentrate. The company says it can raise the value of the silage from about NOK 2 per kilogram to NOK 12-15 per kilogram.
If adopted, this could divert whitefish by-products from low-value silage into higher-value protein concentrate, but the effect on feed ingredient prices is likely minor for now.
