Belstat data show Belarus raised its potash exports by almost 13% in 2017 to about 6.4mn t K2O (10.6mn t KCl). Growth slowed from the over 40% rise seen in the first half of 2017.
Belarus is roughly 20% of global potash exports, so steady supply growth from it caps price gains for buyers of potash-based fertilizer, though the slowdown trims the pace of added supply.
