SunRice raised the bottom of its estimated range for base-grade medium-grain Reiziq paddy for the 2017 crop by $15 per tonne, to $350-$365/t. The company cited recovering world rice markets and brand strength.
The higher grower price reflects firmer medium-grain export markets in Australia and supports the domestic paddy price.
