PepsiCo's Quaker Oats has entered a joint venture with Lotte Confectionary to sell porridge products in South Korea starting April 2018. Lotte expects more than 10bn KRW in oatmeal sales this year.
The Korean cereal market is about 230bn KRW.
The deal is a small food-sector development with negligible effect on feed or milling oat demand.
