Gensource Potash signed a definitive, binding offtake agreement with a senior North American agriculture company for 100% of output from one 250,000 tpy potash module in Saskatchewan. The deal follows a non-binding MoU announced in March 2018 and includes a right of first refusal on expansion output.
The company says it is now moving to complete project financing.
The offtake secures a buyer for a future potash supply source but the project is not yet financed or built, so its effect on near-term potash supply is limited. It is a minor supply-side development for potash markets.
