Platts reported that the boho factor fell to 5.87 cents/gal on May 9, its lowest level since November 2014. The decline came as ULSD futures reached their highest since February 2015 while soybean futures rose faster than diesel.
A lower boho factor makes biodiesel blending more economic, which can support soybean oil demand. The move also reflects firmer diesel prices that tend to lift biofuel margins.
