Class III milk futures closed higher on May 15, with May at $15.25 and June at $16.10, supported by strong international markets and export demand. Cash butter, blocks and nonfat dry milk were flat to slightly firmer, and the GDT index rose nearly 2%.
Stronger futures and export demand point to firmer milk prices in the near term, though cash dairy was mostly flat, so the move is modest.
