Ceres Global Ag and Consolidated Grain & Barge announced a joint venture to own and operate the Savage Riverport terminal near the Twin Cities. The facility has 9.2 million bushels of storage and handles wheat, corn, soybeans and oats with rail, truck and barge shipping.
The deal consolidates Upper Mississippi grain handling capacity, which may improve logistics efficiency but has little immediate effect on prices.
