Potash developer Emmerson Plc's shares surged 62 percent on their first day back on the London Stock Exchange after raising 6 million pounds through a share sale. The company is building the Khemisset potash mine in Morocco and is targeting a supply deal with OCP, the world's largest phosphate rock producer, with output planned from mid-2022.
A new potash source in Morocco would be a long-dated addition to global supply, but the mine is years from production and the project is still unfunded, so there is no near-term price effect for feed buyers.
