Ukraine exported about 3.6 million tonnes of sunflower meal from September to May of the 2017/18 marketing year, according to Atria Brokers at the Shanghai conference. About 503,000 tonnes went to Asia, including 146,000 tonnes to China as of June 20.
Experts expect record sunflower meal production and exports in 2018/19.
