Atria Brokers' Oksana Starina told the Shanghai Sunflower Oil & Meal Trade Conference on June 27 that world sunflower meal imports in 2017/18 may reach 7-7.1 million tonnes, led by the EU at 53%. Ukraine exported about 3.6 million tonnes in September-May and has become one of the largest global suppliers.
