MAP phosphate fertilizer prices rose in the export market after three weeks of decline, according to Globalfert. Indian buyers were active for the Kharif planting, and China was negotiating large volumes, pushing export prices higher.
India also raised its DAP subsidy, which may boost imports.
Strong import demand from India and China tightens available phosphate supply, supporting DAP prices for feed and crop buyers. Higher phosphate costs can also raise the expense of growing the grain and oilseed crops that feed buyers depend on.
After 193 past bullish trade events, DAP moved a median +0.4% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -0.3% to +1.8%), and +1.9% over 20.
