Russia's animal health agency reported 13 more HPAI outbreaks in backyard flocks in Tatarstan and Saratov Oblast, affecting 990 birds. Russia's total since June reached 67 outbreaks and more than 1.4 million birds lost, and the EU has temporarily banned poultry meat imports from Russia.
Outbreaks in backyard flocks have little commercial impact, but the EU import ban on Russian poultry meat slightly shifts trade flows and could support prices elsewhere.
