A broiler feeding trial at Schothorst Feed Research in the Netherlands found that the relative bioavailability of MHA-FA was about 65% and diluted DLM65 about 61%, compared with MetAMINO. The results were set against a 2018 EFSA opinion on methionine sources.
The findings support the relative value of different methionine sources in poultry diets, which may influence formulation choices, but they do not move overall methionine supply or price.
