Israel Chemicals (ICL) shares rose after the BPC-China potash contract at $290 per ton, which is 25% above prior Chinese supply prices. ICL's own India contract, signed in August at the same $290 price, was 21% above its previous contracts.
The company has gained about 30% over three months.
The reported contract prices confirm that potash prices are rising across major import markets, which tightens fertilizer costs for grain and oilseed producers and supports the outlook for potash prices.
