COCERAL raised its European sunflower seed production estimates, with output well above earlier expectations. Bulgarian farmgate prices fell about 10 EUR/t in a week to 281 EUR/t CPT Varna, and kernel prices also declined.
Larger EU supply pushes down sunflower seed and kernel prices and adds competition for meal exports, which is bearish for the sunflower complex.
