DTN's average spot price for domestic distillers dried grains rose $1 to $134 per ton for the week ended September 27, with mixed prices across 40 locations. The DDG-to-corn value was 102.86% and the DDG-to-soymeal value was 43.48%.
EIA data showed ethanol plant output fell 4% the prior week.
Lower ethanol output tightens DDG supply, and higher corn and soymeal prices support DDG values. The cost per unit of protein for DDG remains well below soybean meal, which supports feed demand.
