The OIE reported a mild H5 bird flu case at a farm in Stanislaus County, California. All 26,258 birds in the exposed flock were killed and disposed of, according to a USDA report cited by the OIE.
A contained outbreak in one flock is unlikely to move US feed or poultry prices much, though it marginally reduces domestic bird numbers and feed consumption in California.
