A Fitch Solutions report projects Morocco's current account deficit will narrow to 3.3 percent of GDP in 2018 and 2.2 percent in 2019, down from 3.6 percent in 2017. The narrowing is attributed to growing vehicle and phosphate exports.
The report also expects US and Brazilian fertilizer demand to rise.
The forecast is macroeconomic and does not change phosphate supply or prices directly. Rising US and Brazilian fertilizer demand is a marginal supportive factor for phosphate markets.
