Timac Agro UK is launching a new type of environmentally friendly, higher-efficiency fertilizer that combines chemical and biological technologies, the first such development in more than 50 years. The company says less than 40 percent of nitrogen in conventional fertilizers reaches the plant.
The product will be discussed at The Ag-Chem Pipeline event on 9 October.
Higher nutrient-use efficiency could eventually reduce the volume of fertilizer needed per crop, but the product is new and its effect on prices is not yet measurable.
