EuroChem now expects its Usolskiy plant in Russia to produce about 300,000 tonnes of potash in 2018, down from an earlier forecast of 500,000–600,000 tonnes. The launch of its VolgaKaliy plant has been pushed to the first half of 2019.
Nearly all of its initial potash output will be used internally.
Lower-than-planned output and a delayed second plant limit new potash supply from Russia, but because most output is captive, the effect on the open market is small.
