CJ CheilJedang celebrated 30 years of business in Indonesia with a ceremony in Pasuruan on December 20. The company said its yearly lysine output grew from 10,000 tons to 250,000 tons and that it expects 2.8 trillion won in sales this year.
It also described its plants across South America, the US, China and Southeast Asia.
Rising lysine capacity from a major global producer adds to feed amino acid supply, which can weigh on lysine prices. The effect is gradual and reflects company strategy rather than a near-term supply change.
