USDA's Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Outlook shows October broiler production up 0.4 percent year over year after adjusting for slaughter days. Egg sets and chick placements declined year over year in October and November, and first-half 2019 forecasts were revised down.

Falling chick placements and lower forecast slaughter point to tighter broiler supply in early 2019, which supports chicken prices.
