The National Sunflower Association reported that USDA's Risk Management Agency moved the North Dakota final planting date for 2019 sunflower by five days, to June 10 or June 15 depending on county. The association also noted a Prairie Grains session on sunflower diseases and USDA guidance on extra harvest time after wet weather.
Insurance and planting-date changes affect sunflower acreage decisions at the margin, but they have little direct effect on feed commodity prices.
