Viterra has acquired full ownership of Pacific Coast Canola, an expeller press canola crushing plant in Warden, Washington. The plant is the largest expeller canola facility in North America.
Viterra said the plant will expand its processing capacity and serve the healthy oils market.
Added expeller crush capacity in the US Pacific Northwest increases canola processing and meal supply, which is a modest bearish factor for meal prices.
