Turkmenistan is withholding about $7 million of construction equipment belonging to Belarusian contractor Belgorhimprom, which built the Garlyk potash plant. The dispute centers on claims that the contractor failed to meet its obligations, and the plant has operated since March 2017.
This is a contract dispute with little effect on global potash supply or feed input prices.
