Checkers Drive-In Restaurants filed an antitrust suit against Tyson, Perdue, Pilgrim's Pride and other chicken producers. It alleges they agreed to curtail chicken supply to raise prices.
The complaint follows a similar Hooters of America suit filed a month earlier.
The suits allege supply restriction, but the claims are unproven and do not change current supply or feed demand directly. Any settlement or ruling could affect producer pricing behavior.
