Raymond James analyst Pavel Molchanov told the National Ethanol Conference that the ethanol industry has passed its worst period and is set to rebalance. Ethanol prices rebounded, with Chicago Argo reaching $1.3445 per gallon, and the crush margin turned positive for the first time since October.

Improving crush margins mean ethanol plants may resume production, which would support corn grind and DDGS supply. Future Chinese mandates could expand export demand for U.S. ethanol.
