The U.S. Grains Council held its 16th International Marketing Conference and 59th Annual Membership Meeting in Cartagena, Colombia, with more than 330 attendees. Speakers discussed the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement and the importance of the Colombian market to U.S. feed grains exports.
The event is promotional and reports no new purchase, tariff change or volume shift, so it has little direct price effect. It does reinforce Colombia as a steady outlet for U.S. corn, sorghum, barley and DDGS under the FTA.
After 480 past neutral trade events, Corn moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.6%), and +0.7% over 20.
