Evonik has launched AMINORED 2.0, an analytical service that tests the nutritional value of corn DDGS at raw material reception. The test detects over-processing, which can cut amino acid digestibility by up to 20 percentage points between batches.
Evonik says the test will help feed formulators use DDGS more precisely.
More precise DDGS quality testing could let feed mills rely on DDGS with less safety margin, supporting its use as a substitute when standard feed ingredients are expensive. The effect on prices is small and indirect.
