Tomra Food has introduced four new sensor-based sorting applications for pet food manufacturers. The applications remove foreign material from dry meat and bone meal, ground frozen meat, biscuit residue and dry kibble.
The company says the configurations were validated at its facilities and at pet food plants in Europe and the United States.
This is a processing-equipment launch for pet food with no meaningful effect on feed commodity supply, demand or prices.
