Evonik announced on April 17 that it will raise the worldwide net price of MetAMINO (DL-methionine 99% feed grade) by 7%, effective immediately. All existing contracts and supply agreements will be honored.
A 7% methionine price increase raises feed formulation costs for poultry and swine rations, since methionine is a key limiting amino acid. Buyers should expect higher costs for complete feed and possibly firmer synthetic amino acid pricing.
