Bangladesh's Ministry of Agriculture raised dealer and farmer prices of urea, DAP, TSP and MOP by Rs 5 per kg, under an order issued the previous day. Dealers will now pay Rs 25 per kg for urea, Rs 19 for DAP, Rs 25 for TSP and Rs 18 for MOP.
The domestic price increase raises farm input costs in Bangladesh, which may reduce fertilizer use and crop yields. The move does not affect global fertilizer benchmarks.
After 250 past policy events, DAP moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (53% higher; middle half -0.6% to +1.3%), and +1.5% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
